Can RS 2005 point to SQL 2000 DB?

I would like to install Reporting Services 2005 on one IIS box and point to a
separate SQL Server 2000 box which would be used to host its two databases
(ReportingServer and ReportingServerTempDB).
Will this work?

LulkYes. You need a 2005 license on the IIS box but the databases can be on 2000
(I am running in this configuration).

can be hosted on SQL Server 2000. You can use the Reporting Services
Configuration Tool to accomplish this easily enough.

separate ISS server and point to a separate 2000 SQL Server? What if I point
to a separate SQL 2005 Server, would that configuration still require two SQL
Server licenses?
