Can not start SQL Agent

When I try to start SQL AGent I get the Following:
"An error 1722 (The RPC server is unavailable)"
Windows 2000, SQL 2000 sp3a.
The sql agent service is running.
Thanks
Dave.Make sure RPC services is running on the server but it may
be more likely that you have a problem with the permissions
set for the service account for SQL Agent. You can find the
required permissions in the following:
HOW TO: Change the SQL Server or SQL Server Agent Service
Account Without Using SQL Enterprise Manager in SQL Server
2000
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=283811
You can also find information on the permissions and service
accounts in books online under services accounts.
